Objectifs, programme, validation de la formation

Objectifs

This master program has been built on the basis of a prospective describing the evolution of the professions in environment with many professionals involved. Several observations have emerged: the environmental dimension is essential in public decision-making. Climate change and the preservation of resources (biodiversity, water, soil) require adapting the scenarios of development and spatial planning. Several laws (energy transition, biodiversity laws, the Water Framework Directive, etc.) provide an evolving regulatory framework. New agricultural models placing the environment at the center of technical practices are emerging. The productive question of agriculture comes back in public issues via food. Urban public decisions affect rural areas.

It has 2 specific characteristics that are necessary to approach complex environmental issues (natural resources management, food systems)

the close link between engineering and social sciences in order to understand the complexity of processes linked to these objects: multi-stakes, multi-actors

the approach to these issues at the systemic level of the territory.

  • Preparation for professional situations - 3 ECTS

  • French language courses or LV1 English & LV2 German, Spanish or Italian - 2 ECTS

  • Supporting transition to sustainable agri-food systems: Agroecology, food justice and governance - 7 ECTS

  • Transitions, actors and governance of environmental commons - 6 ECTS

  • Approaches and methods in social sciences - 2 ECTS

  • Project-based approaches - 5 ECTS

Master thesis - 30 ECTS
